Last Updated: January 2026

Welcome to CLICKE

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the CLICKE website located at https://clic.ke (the "Site") and our URL shortening, QR code generation, link management, click analytics (where available), and related features (collectively, the "Services").

By accessing or using the Site or Services in any manner, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not access or use the Services.

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The most current version will be posted here with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

1. About CLICKE

CLICKE is a lightweight, privacy-respecting web platform that allows anyone to quickly shorten long URLs and generate QR codes for sharing links offline or on physical media.

Basic shortening and QR code generation are available without an account. Advanced features — such as detailed click analytics, link performance dashboards, link history, custom slugs, and saved QR designs — currently require creating a free account.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old or have reached the age of majority in your jurisdiction.
  • You must have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts.

Account Creation & Responsibilities

  • Account registration is optional and currently only required for analytics, link history and advanced features.
  • You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration and to keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use or security incident involving your account.

3. Acceptable Use & Prohibited Conduct

You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes and in compliance with all applicable laws, including Kenyan laws relating to cybercrime, data protection, consumer rights and intellectual property.

You must not use the Service to create, shorten, share or generate links or QR codes that involve, promote, distribute or lead to any of the following:

× Malware, viruses, trojans, ransomware or other malicious software
× Phishing pages, scams, fraud or deceptive practices
× Illegal content, goods, services or activities
× Content that infringes copyrights, trademarks or other intellectual property rights
× Videos, audio, images, books, games or any other material protected by copyright without authorization
× Unauthorized streaming of movies, TV shows or live broadcasts
× Downloadable files intended for piracy, hacking or unauthorized distribution
× Pornographic, sexual or sexually explicit content
× Violent, hateful, abusive, prejudiced or discriminatory content
× Content related to drugs, weapons or the unlawful promotion of alcohol
× Disgusting, explicit or offensive material that causes discomfort to users
× Pop-ups, scripts, injected code or other malicious or deceptive behavior
× Pages that automatically redirect users to other pages without clear consent
× Not found, blank, expired or misleading destination pages
× Spam, unsolicited bulk messaging or abusive redirection behavior

We reserve the right to investigate reported or suspected misuse, disable or remove offending links or QR codes, suspend or terminate accounts, and cooperate with law enforcement or regulatory authorities when required.

4. User Content and Responsibility

You are solely responsible for all URLs, destination content, QR codes, custom slugs and any other material you create, upload or share through the Service ("User Content").

CLICKE does not review, monitor or control the content behind shortened links or QR codes. We do not assume any responsibility or liability for your User Content or for any harm that may arise from it.

You agree that your use of the Service (including all links and QR codes you generate) must not violate any applicable law or infringe the rights of any third party.

5. Service Availability

The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without any warranties of any kind.

We do not guarantee that the Service will be:

  • uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free
  • permanently available (shortened links may eventually expire or be disabled)
  • analytics or performance data will always be accurate or retained indefinitely

We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice.

6. Payments, Subscriptions and Future Fees

CLICKE is currently offered completely free of charge.

In the future we may introduce optional paid plans, premium features, higher usage limits, advanced analytics, custom domains, branded QR codes, API access or other enhancements.

If and when we do:

  • Pricing and billing terms will be clearly communicated in advance
  • You will have the choice to continue on the free tier or opt into paid features
  • Any refund policy will be disclosed at the time paid features are introduced

Unless otherwise stated or required by law, all fees paid are non-refundable.

7. Account Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account, disable or remove links/QR codes, or restrict access to any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in abusive behavior, or if such action is necessary to protect users, third parties or the platform.

Upon termination you may permanently lose access to your analytics data, saved links, QR codes and other stored information. We are not obligated to retain or provide copies of this data after account closure.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CLICKE and its affiliates, officers, employees and agents shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from:

  • your use of or inability to use the Service
  • service interruptions, downtime or delays
  • loss, inaccuracy or deletion of analytics data or link history
  • any third-party links, websites or services accessed via the Service

Your use of the Service is entirely at your own risk.

9. Third-Party Links and Services

The Service may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites, tools or services. We do not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for the content, privacy practices, security or availability of those third-party resources.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the Service, legal requirements or our business practices.

The most current version will always be available on this page with the effective date clearly displayed. Your continued use of CLICKE after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
